Description
EC3's MIG Welding Program offers skill upgrade training in the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes. Students will be given an introduction to GMAW processes. The course will cover the safety and set-up processes with hands-on experience learned in the classroom. Students will learn all the proper names of consumables and how to properly use each type under various settings and circumstances. This program will also study different types of metals used in the welding industry and the proper welding process.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this 40-hour program, students will be able to:
- Identify equipment and safety procedures related to equipment, processes, and materials used in the major welding processes of Metal Inert Gas (GMAW).
- Weld GMAW in various environments on steel to the standards of the American Welding Society (AWS).
