Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
As I write today, much of the continental United States is under some kind of weather watch or warning thanks to the emergence of Winter Storm Elliott. Weather.com speculates that Erie County is anticipating a “Multi-hazard winter storm with a combination of strong winds, very cold temperatures, snow, and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 15 inches. Highest snowfall amounts likely in Erie County, Pennsylvania. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph. Dangerously cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 30 below zero.” Those are hurricane-force winds in December!

If you’ve been around since the beginning, you know that EC3 started small; we offered a limited selection of courses during our first semester as we worked to get our institution off the ground. We did this deliberately, choosing programs that would meet our students where they are while simultaneously working to help fill employment gaps in Erie County.
An Attitude of Gratitude
As we head into our last day of classes before Thanksgiving recess, I find it helpful to pause and reflect on the semester so far. More of Fall 2022 is behind us than lies ahead, and I can see in our students the need for some downtime.
