**ABOUT ERIE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF PENNSYLVANIA**
Erie County Community College (EC3), America's newest community college, is a comprehensive community college located in northwest Pennsylvania currently offering various associate degrees and certificates. EC3 is focused on enhancing the county's economic condition by increasing educational opportunities for the diverse population in Erie County and assisting individuals to enter careers that provide family-sustaining wages.
**POSITION SUMMARY**
The College Recruiter assists both new and prospective EC3 students throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. They will be responsible for representing the College at recruitment activities, both on-campus and off-campus, throughout Erie County. This person will work with high school counselors and community organizations to share information about EC3 and to encourage individuals toward enrollment at the College.

- Communicates with prospective students and families about the benefits of enrolling at EC3.
- Advises prospective students and families through the admissions and enrollment process.
- Participates in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events within the City of Erie and throughout Erie County.
- Utilizes existing and emerging technology to communicate with and maintain records of contacts with prospective students.
- Assists EC3 advisors in getting students enrolled into the College.
- Refers students to needed specialized services for enrollment and student success.
- Assists in the development of recruiting strategies specific to the City of Erie and Erie County.
- Schedule and participate in regular recruitment activities on high school campuses and community agencies to reach potential students.
- Collect, analyze, and make changes based on data related to recruitment trends.
- Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly sit at a desk and use a computer with monitors.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and arm's length vision acuity.
Regular lifting, of up to 20 pounds. The work environment is moderate noise.
Regularly sitting in a moving vehicle as the position will require driving to schools and events.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Students currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor degree program.
- Understanding of and belief in the benefits of a community college education.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, specifically with experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborative team member.
- Computer skills, to include MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and internet search engines.
- Possess a valid state-issued driver's license, with access to reliable transportation (with up-to-date insurance) for use to and from off-campus activities and events.
- Pass background and state child abuse clearances.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Associates and/or Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience recruiting at a community college or technical school.
- Experience giving presentations in an educational setting.
- Experience representing organizations at community/college fairs.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the educational needs of the diverse Erie County and City area.
