Erie, PA — Erie County Community College (EC3) is thrilled to announce its new east side location at the Youth Leadership Institute of Erie.
In a strategic effort to strengthen its presence on the city's east side, EC3's new location at YLI will offer greater accessibility to current and prospective students. The location is conveniently situated on an EMTA bus route, provides ample parking, and enables the college to serve students directly within their community.
The transition from St. Benedict Education Center to YLI marks an exciting new chapter for EC3 as it continues to grow and expand. The collaboration with the Benedictine Sisters was instrumental during EC3's modest beginnings. The move from St. Benedict Education Center to the Youth Leadership Institute is a response to the college's ongoing growth and the need for a more accommodating space to support its expanding student body. "We are immensely grateful to the Benedictine Sisters for their support in our initial phase," says Chris Gray, President of EC3. "Our goal is to always meet students where they are, and this location allows us to do just that while expanding our reach." EC3 originally opened its doors at St. Benedict Education Center on September 1, 2021.
EC3 will begin operating out of YLI on August 19th, when its early-fall session begins. YLI is located at 1306 E. Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16507.
