Position Title:
Student Ambassador - CURRENT STUDENTS ONLY
POSITION SUMMARY
Student Ambassadors are student workers dedicated to sharing their college experiences with future EC3 students. This program strives to bring students together from various programs of study, clubs and organizations, and cultural backgrounds to provide a positive and honest image of Erie County Community College to prospective students, families, alumni, and friends of the college.
Student Ambassadors play a vital role in assisting the Recruiting Office as they work with prospective students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Covers Recruiting Office desk, answering questions by email and phone
- Conducts campus-wide tours.
- Assists recruiters with preparing for events
- Represents EC3 at on- and off-campus events
- Provides their perspective as an EC3 student.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Reliability and accountability for event commitments.
- Punctuality and ability to participate for the entirety of the event(s) as scheduled.
- Professional and appropriate in dress and conduct at events.
- Willingness to thoroughly learn about EC3 and share this information appropriately at events.
- Ability to feel comfortable around people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities, in different settings.
- Must be confident and enthusiastic about the Student Ambassador role, sharing accordingly at event.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may sit at a desk or table and use a computer with monitors.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and arm's length vision acuity.
Occasional lifting, of up to 20 pounds. The work environment noise will vary from low to high, depending on event location.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a currently enrolled EC3 student.
- Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Must have reliable transportation for events.
- Must have a written recommendation from an instructor or EC3 staff member.
- Must complete the Student Ambassador Training.
