Transferring from a community college to a four-year institution is a smart pathway for many students, and transfer agreements make that journey smoother and more affordable. By reducing the risk of lost credits and providing clear guidelines for course equivalency, transfer agreements give you confidence that your hard work will count wherever your academic goals take you.
Erie County Community College has worked with colleges and universities in PA and neighboring institutions to develop transfer agreements that outline how EC3 credits can be used at the receiving school. Some agreements are all-inclusive, allowing students to enter with junior status. Others are gear to specific programs, with courses meeting program requirements as well as general education requirements. And then, some agreements are based on a course-by-course basis determined by the individual credit-receiving institution.
