Position Overview
The College Recruiter assists both new and prospective EC3 students throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. They will be responsible for representing the College at recruitment activities, both on-campus and off-campus, throughout Erie County.
Hourly Rate Range: $18.00 – $20.00
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Communicates with prospective students and families about the benefits of enrolling at EC3 and advises them through the admissions and enrollment process.
- Participates in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events, including school visits and community events in the City of Erie and Erie County.
- Participates in regular recruitment activities at high schools and community agencies to reach potential students.
- Maintain records and communicate with prospective students, while monitoring admissions emails and voicemail for inquiries.
- Assists EC3 advisors with student enrollment and refers students to specialized services for enrollment and success.
- Contributes to the development of targeted recruitment strategies specific to the City of Erie and Erie County.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Students are currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program.
- Understanding of and belief in the benefits of a community college education.
- Possess a valid state-issued driver's license, with access to reliable transportation (with up-to-date insurance) for use to and from off-campus activities and events.
- Pass background and state child abuse clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates and/or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience recruiting at a community college or technical school.
- Experience giving presentations in an educational setting.
- Experience representing organizations at community/college fairs.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the educational needs of the diverse Erie County and City area.
Skills
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, specifically with experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborative team member.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and internet search engines.
